Exchanging Files

Patience is of the essence here. Occasionally the connectivity at one end will not match the other, and so either party may get frustrated when exchanging large files. Fortunately, in medicine, mostly images of CT, MRI or PET scans and HD pictomicrographs tend to be large, while X-rays and USG usually do not. Scanned documents too can be of large sizes, although not the printed ones like prescriptions, investigation results and reports and discharge summaries.

Upload speeds are typically much slower than download speeds (usually ΒΌ). So uploading a file will take time, while downloading the same file will be faster. Data volumes are different from data speeds. So, a 1 GB plan will allow only 1 GB worth of data to be uploaded and/or downloaded for the duration of the plan. So the applicable formula is
